No more Performance Car.

Postby JPCCDD » Sun Nov 18, 2007 12:54 am

Corvette is gone. Got tired of it constantly breaking down. Bought an 04 4x4 Slate Grey Metallic Trailblazer LT with every option imaginable, except leather seats cause i hate those. So I'll still come to the meets, but not the cruises anymore. I never drive fast enough to do cruises anyways. :)

i like that one. that works. truth of the matter is that the rings were worn on some of the pistons causing major blow by, i lost 2nd and was starting to lose 3rd gear, the clutch was slipping bad, and there was a loud popping in the rear even though I replaced the broken ball joint and upper control arm. I was looking at $7000 in repairs. Screw that. Anyways I don't have time or patients for that piece anymore so I got rid of it while I could. My brothers automatic C5 is perfect. Just one sensor thats out, thats it. No popping, very few rattles, runs great, 30+MPG, reliable. Don't know why. I drive my vette smoother than him. Good news is since I upkeep his car, I can take it once a month to the corvette meets. They cruise very slowly everywhere. With you guys, most meets don't even involve a cruise anymore so I can just meet you with the TB, and if you are cruising, meet you at the destination. That is if I ever get a day off. Funny, how can someone never have a day off but still be broke?? Sucks to be me.
