This owner got 'bored' of his black car and wanted to have something different he claims. Plus he left the roof black to give it an M3 look. I personally think the idea is great, I believe it cost 1500-2000. Good ones will last over 2 years from what I've read. It's a cheap alternative to painting your vehicle (which will also bring down the resale value). Plus you can try something different from the ordinary (like flat black or maybe a Lambo orange). You can't tell me after a year or two of owning a silver car it wouldn't cross your mind to have a 'change of scenery.' Plus it only takes two days..not bad!!

Then again I am probably a rarity when it comes to sticking to things. Oh well, as for the M3 look, I would have just gotten a white car and foiled just the roof black.

I wonder how this stands up to washed and wax jobs as well as weather like extreme heat and cold.

At least you won't have to tape up the car at the track.

If it comes down to 2 grand worth of hookers or some tape on my car, sure I'll take the former . But I still think the possibilities are endless and you can do some pretty neat things with the exterior of your car without technically changing anything at all. :P
