One of the things that the ORR tech inspectors check is the date codes
on each tire. For most classes, they allow tires up to 5 years old.
For Supersport, 160+ mph avg, they want tires newer then 2 years
old. They take this stuff very seriously, since over 80% of all accidents
at an ORR event have been attributed to tire failure.
