Hey Kato,
That was one of the first things I did to the PCAR after purchase was to upgrade the stereo. I've been addicted to bass since I was a young buck.
Really wasn't sure of how to accomplish the task due to the PCAR not having enough storage capacity for a sub box in the trunk. So I had a custom box built inside the car. Hell, aint know way anybody was ridin in that little cramped space, so I took advantage of it.
I chose a simple system: Sony Bluetooth headunit, Hifonic 5 channel amp and 2 10" JL Audio W5's. The component speakers that were in the car sounded great so I left them untouched.
For the cheese I spent, which wasn't much by PCAR standards, the system is bangin. And I to, like you, listen to all genre's of music. One day I'll wan't to listen to some TI or Cube and the next day I'll want to listen to some Metallica, Robin Trower, Led Zepplin or Jimmy Hendrix. Then there's those days were I want to ride to some Bob James, Kurt Waylum, Grover Washington, Sade or John Coltraine...
And then there are the infamous PCAR runs where I've gotta bump some house or dance or maybe a little disco...
What type of system did you wind up installing if I might ask...
Congrats on the install
