GTR @ CPP

Postby fu03steve » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:50 am

last wednesday I spotted a white GTR at the student parking lot...

I was like what the hell was the person thinking sneaking his/her parent's car and took it to school and drove it in the rain!!!

it sure was nice but I wasn't surprise to see it anymore since
SEMA killed it for me...there were like 20 GTRs at SEMA!!

just thought I share :D

I would have to say that if I had a chance to pick one up then I would. There would be other conditions as spending 80K on this car would not be my first choice.

That's what I meant. It's a great sports car but it's not a "Porsche".

+1

it may be fast but it barely came out...
we do not know what problems might
pop up later on in the future!!

I doubt that the GTR will be driven by to many young cats. The insurance alone will prohibit that. My sons first car was a 99 Mustang SVT Cobra and the insurance alone was $500 a month...

Anyone under the age of 25 will be looking at similar costs if not higher...

Yes, but today's youth seems to have parents that are more eager to spend ridiculous amounts of money on them for some reason. That is where things take a downward turn, if you may.

True! But in the grand scheme of things, I don't believe we have to worry about being inundated with as many GTR's as we are with WRX's, Evo's, Accura's, Honda's, etc...

I'm sure there will be a few.

Yes, I doubt we'll see lots of these GTR s on the road very soon. I understand that the WRX is a streatch for most yound tunners but to double that is sort of like young'ins picking up 3-year old Turbos. It's just not going to happen... "a-lot"....

I do like the car by the way... Always liked them before they were legal to import to the US.

my knowledge is that all the Nissan Skyline was not sold here in the U.S. they are only available for importing. there are agencies out here that will import them here if you have the dough...

I believe back in 2004, to import the GT-R34 was around $80-90k

I seen more R33 here than the R32 and the R34...
