Yeah man, i felt it pretty hard here at the shop, good thing the lift was only 1 foot in the air and nothing fell except my keys off the desk.

Felt it here in Downey as well. My wife is in City of Industry just a few miles away from Diamond Bar/Chino Hill area...

Said it shook pretty good but all is well...mostly shattered nerves by some of the folks...

Been here all my life so I'm sort of immune to them now...

I was picking up some tires and thought someone was shaking the van. . . I then noticed they guy at the shop with this frightened look on his face, I then wondered "did someone hit my van"?

Moments later the tire shop owner was yelling "Everyone Out!".... at which time the ground was moving....

I walked outside for a minute or two, then headed back in to finish up and back to the shop to make sure nothing was damaged... :)

Found Carlos in the fetal position under his desk sucking his thumb... :eye: Nah, just kidding...

aren040 wrote:Alright, I get it, there was a earthquake. Now can the news just shut the hell up about it and move on. I would understand if this happened in Boston or something where they don't get earthquakes, but come on, this is SoCal, we have them all the time. Hell, no one even cares until it is a 5.0 or above.

Now the news is going on and on about earthquake kits and so on. I am sure that by 7PM they will get into the "what if news". You know this one, "this quake was a 5.4 but what if it had been a 15.4, would you live, would your pets live, would your bank still foreclose on your demolished house..."

Oops, too late they are talking about some 7.0 simulation that they did. God I hate local "news".
