Well today after taking my daughter to her session we were going to drive past the Apple store in Pasadena and I told my wife, if there is a parking space in front (mind you there are only two parking spaces up-front) we'll stop in.

Well guess what, as I was pulling up a gal was jumping in her car to leave. So I parked, put some food in the meter and got in line....

Picked up the 16GB model which is about $100 more than the 8GB, the 8GB only comes in black but the 16GB options the white and black. I went with the black since it's a fave color of mine....

Haven't had much time to play with it but I do notice some speed. . . .

It was meant to be Eli That's how I end up buying stuff sometimes. When I think of buying something in a store, and I see it's the last one on the shelf, it's a sign that the item is mine.

In your case that parking space was meant to be vacated at the right time for you...it was a sign and you made the right decision

Yeah, that's what I figured, I also heard that if I act quickly I can sell my old iphone for almost enough to cover the cost since it is now required to have a AT&T contract before getting the reduced price of $199 or $299. . . .

Congratulations Eli. But something I don't get. You went with the 16 Gig version because the 8 Gig only came in black and the 16 came in other colors, but you just went with black anyway? Sounds kind of odd.

I don't know, but from what you wrote, that is what it sounds like.

I went with the 16GB since it was the better of the two and I figured I just might need all the space in time. I could have got the WHITE back that is only offered on the 16GB but I just didn't like the white color.

So far i like my 3g phone...specialy after i jailbroke it...now im just barely starting to load it up with apps.

Wonder if Pete ever employed his plan to do the jail-house brake as well...
