Repair Windows XP by using the XP installation CD

Postby admin_papa » Sat Aug 30, 2008 10:22 pm

Hello Everybody Just wanted to share my new experience. If your Windows XP denies to run due to an error related to lost HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other critical system boot files you can repair this by using the XP installation CD. Simply boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then launch "attrib -H -R -S" on the C:\Boot.ini file and delete it. Launch "Bootcfg /Rebuild" and then Fixboot Regards, Carl

I used to run Windows too. But now I hate Windows! :D People at work constantly come to me with their Windows problems and I tell them to get a Mac. :D

Well, unfortunately, the only way I would switch to a MAC is if I were to change careers and became a graphic artist. Other than that I'm happy with my old PC's...been working fine for me for the last 20 years....starting with my first 8088...
