stop sign ticket??

Postby fu03steve » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:17 pm

can someone help me how to get out of stop sign ticket?

the story is:

i was cruising about 25 mph...and when it comes to the stop sign.
i did a brake, roll, then go...along with the other on the same lane as
i am...there was only my car and the other car on the whole street.
umm...i kept driving and driving. after about 1-2 miles a cop pulled me
over and gave me a ticket for running stop sign... is it possible that i fight this and win?

damm i should get a bicycle to get me out of trouble

Tickets are a big money making rev. for the local city.....

I'd say you'd have a 50/50 chance the officer won't show.

If you get that far and realize he's not there to testify, you can win by default.....

Stop rolling through the hood.....

daytonaed wrote:What ever you do, do not show up to court in person. Most people don't know this but police officers get paid for showing up on trial day, so it is a big incentive for them to show up on court day. If you do a trial by mail they get zip so there is no incentive for them to respond that gives you a much better chance than 50/50. The courts don't openly share this bit of info because as Eli already stated citations bring in a lot of revenue. First thing you should do is get an extension, then request a trial by mail. Another big plus to this is you never set foot in court or have to do a face to face with the officer. Let me know if you need more help with this. I used this method recently for a speeding violation and guess what the CHP officer never responded via mail and my case was dismissed and I got my money back.

The actual term is TRIAL BY DECLARATION....

Not a whole lot of info you can provide other than your side. I doubt your chances are 50/50 there but hey if you have the time..... You can still show in person though if that doesn't work for you!

the money.... :D and most of all the record....and insurance... i wasnt
speeding... the only thing that i have in my hand is that...the officer
wasnt there to see it...he came out from different street after i drove about a mile...then he comes out from the close street where he stop me at....

stop sign tickets are pretty much impossible to fight.

Good luck man.
