As some of you may know I got my car back on THURSDAY 7/12 the same day I was laid off. Yippee!
Here is the work I got done on my car:
Factory rebuilt 6 speed gearbox (full Porsche warranty for 12 months)
30K full maintenance including plugs
EVO stage II clutch and pressure plate
EVO stage II light weight flywheel
Here is the short story...THE CAR FEELS FANTASTIC. Maybe it is in my head...but the flywheel and clutch are AWESOME. The clutch is smooth as butter and engages very crisply. I would hate to drive this in traffic. It can be done but you really have to slip it in first. After that the rest of the gears are so smooth. The flywheel really makes a difference. I rev so quick and smooth. The power comes on hard and fast. I LOVE the car and how it feels. Plus the techs at TRE took my car for a road test and tightened up all my suspension and just made sure the car was RIGHT.
I swear I can feel the difference. The car feels new and very very CRISPY. I know that sounds weird to describe a car. But...the car is VERY responsive and just mean! I would love for FLOYD (since he replaced his clutch with a factory unit) and PETER (since he owns a cab too) to drive my car and tell me what they think. Man...I am very happy.
Lastly, I dont want to debate my decision with anyone. I did what I did and thats it. I felt my hands were tied and going this route was the best option. Next time I see you all in person we can go over any questions or discuss "how you would of done it" under the same conditions as I was faced.
All in all, I am very pleased with my car...and I have a cool prelude to drive around so my baby can truly rest and be beautiful for all the meets and drives we go on.
