Pull the neg terminal off for a few minutes, there's your flash system.... Seems to do wonders for those installing those "pre-throtle body devices....

just an fyi- turning on the key in a 997 with the center console removed also sets off the airbag light. ask me how I know..

... Well I asked for it ....

Pulled console out to put in EVOMS SSK and CF ebrake, and thinking things are no more technical than my 996, decided to drive around the block before putting console back in. airbag light came on as soon as I turned key. Apparently the small "passenger airbag off" light on the console needs to be plugged into the circuit chain. *duh*

im pretty sure you are not the only one...

I did that in my 3000gt...

I just triggered it! Last week after removing the center console panel... thanks guys for all the info... but first I need to replace the fuse for the cig lighter which I shorted trying to fix it... where is that damn fuse?

I never touched the cigarette lighter ever since I owned the car...

on that note, anyone know if they make a "smoker delete" piece for the 997 console ashtray? Be much nicer to have a pocket there instead of the ashtray.

the ashley tray make a great COIN HOldER!!!
why don't people like it?!!
