the check engine light came on... well last time it came on I floored the car 1,2nd and it went off... so I'm looking at it and thinking... let's try again.

I look around for cops, but not necessarily the way I usually do, was in a hurry. light turns green and I floor the damn thing 6500rpm, 2nd gear another 6500rpm... and THERE IT IS, as I slowed down for the next light... the cop on a bike is right on my ass, a couple of cars length me.

so I'm pissed, I slow down and head to the right, as I do this the cop heads to the right and this car in front of him starts to pull over... anyhow kind of a mess... finally he catches up with me and stops.

comes to my window and says (I had the CDL ready): " Sir, what was the reason for speeding?"
I said: "No reason, I'm an idiot!"
so he goes back to his bike...

I'm seriously praying he doesn't give me a ticket at this point... this is the year of tickets for me, for years I went by with none...

after few minutes I see him throw his arms down absolutely pissed off, but trying to maintain his calm.
so he comes over and goes: "Thanks for your cooperation, SLOW DOWN" ...and leaves... with the lights on...

Maybe I should get a new sensor?

Yikes Val. Yeah probably alot less expensive to buy the sensor rather than heating up your o2's to get the CEL to dissapear.

Bring it over so i can run the codes again and make a more accurate diagnosis.

you're right, but I thought we talked prices the week before... is just for the one sensor... the one that plugs into the intake or both sensors?

Yeah your right, we did talk prices. Unfortunatly the cost of the MAF sensor's are kinda up there for the 996. If only you had a 986, the price would be in the $200's.
