Clear Bra and respray question...

Postby Corey(NJ) » Wed Apr 23, 2008 6:54 am

I need to get my bumper repainted from rock chips, it looks like it has acne.

Should I also have the fender painted to fix any minor chips or just have them touched up by a pro with a brush. My hood is still good because it has the clear on it, I just never did the bumper.

Also how long should I wait after painting to get the clear on and what do you think just the bumper should cost, or should I just have the whole thing re-done so it matched (or will I not notice the difference).

you should have the the whole thing painted everything will match. the touch up cost to much since they charge for chip. and you should get the clear in one month the latest. also you can have a tint shop or a stereo shop or body shop if you dont have a mobile guy in your area. and the price is from 200 to
400 for the bumper, mirrors, fenders, and flaps and maybe just maybe the running boards.

Easy with that brush,

If I were you I'd let the paint guy do his thing so he can blend the car properly....
