Hey gang!

It looks as though the Gods are shining on me...

It appears as though the Nikasil cylinders can be repaired. I found a company in Wisconsin that does just that. The price is a couple hundred dollars. Now if I can locate a couple of pistons I should be good to go...

Halleluyah...

Here are a couple of photos of inside of the case and the crank. The inside is as clean as a whistle. The crank journals and bearings are in exceptionally good condition as are the main bearings. I have never seen an engine this clean on the inside. There was absolutely no debris of anykind and no appearance of any abnormal wear on the internals.

There was really no reason to break open the case but I'm glad I did.

Okay gents, I went and had one of my pistons measured today and they measured 97mm...somebody's gettin high on their on supply.

Somebody's been givin me a load of bull. So, I ordered a new digital caliper and will measure all of them to make sure I'm not trippin. Will also measure the bore of the cylinders as well.

Can anyone explain the proper method for measuring a piston?

Also, can anyone ID the cylinder by the casting number on the photo listed?

Thanks guys...

Todd.... I Googled it, and this is what I came-up with.

http://www.madebyporsche.nl/index1.html

Here are the pages that Google found.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=95ZN1+

I Googled this information related to measuring pistons.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Me ... he+pistons

I hope this helps...
