Fast Forward Wheels Production 3-pc. wheels?

Postby FastForwardWheels » Sun Apr 27, 2008 11:41 pm

Hi guys,

I'm playing with the idea again to produce or not to produce a 3-pc. wheel.....

The biggest thing we're playing with here is the ability to keep the pricing low. I'm currently working with a couple of shops to hammer out the details but I wanted your feedback.

Now this is not set in stone at this time but do you think a quality market-able item as such would sell at a rate of $700-800 per wheel?

We're talking about a fully finished Center, Polished or painted outer with some reputable designs....

Give me your feedback..

Add to this an option for a customized finish (when people claim it's "customized" somehow that "one-of-a-kind" mentality makes the ownership special), then maybe it's a good starting offer to the public.

Help our economy...buy "Made in the USA" products. Just my 2 cent contribution. :D

Thanks,.....

Yes, but the unfortunate truth is that 99% of all the hoops are now coming from overseas. The centers YES can be made here....

Peter, 600-700 would be fair to who? Obviously it's a made up number so I can't come down on you too hard for just throwing a number up in the air.... When HRE builds the same wheel of the same material, and uses the same hardware and the same hoops and well not better finishing and retails them for $1,100-1,300 per each I really think $700-800 is very fair.... Keep this in mind, when we refinish a three piece wheel we charge $200 on the refinishing and assembly work alone... add $300 on a center, $150 per hoop so that's $300 for two (one wheel still) 40 pc. of hardware front and back $1.00 each in bulk $40, sealant, center caps, not to mention design work etc. etc.....

Pretty much you can see where all the money goes quickly.... The price I threw out there is pretty much close to cost.....

Feel free to reply,
