I have in laws in Colombia and body guards are very common in their circle of friends.
Most bodyguards that I have seen in the Bogota area are Americans.
And they seem very well prepared and respected by the restaurants and clubs.

Story reminds me of the Airport POlice officer at LAX that died cause he held on to his patrol car door as someone drove off in it... Let this be a lesson, just let go of the car.
