Nice simple design IMO.....

Unfortunately we were un-able to make the install recently on a GT3 since they thought that the GT3 application was the same as a C2/C4.

Hopefully they'll be able to come out with more application for those who are interested in them. I haven't heard them in person yet so I'll reserve that comment for now. But from the sound clip it sort of reminds me of the Hacks we've seen recently....

What?? GT3 is the same mount as any other NB 996. If they did not fit, it was due to installer error. :D

The sound is not the same as any hack IMO, it is very wicked, bassy and tuned sounding. Ask Peter / CJ.
Plus, the hacks won't net more HP/TQ and save a bunch of weight as these appear to do (netted 11HP nd 12TQ on my 996). My 2c.
The vids really don't do the sound justice- I'll swing by when I get my set on my 997 and let you take the car for a spin.

Well if that's true then the set they sent didn't fit "AT ALL"....... Looks like more issues presented for the C2 as well... I'm sure I've swapped out more of these systems than AfterHours, you can tell they are more of an import tunner shop by their site.

Even worse

We had to bend the brackets to get them in there but the tips were way off..... The tips "if" mounted would be shooting upwards a good 4" off their point....

GHL offered on Pcars.com and they are a direct bolt on with a 100% money back deal..... How can you beat that? Only a few dollars more but peal of mind...

I don't know that much outside of a few specific things, everything I've learned has been from other forum members passing on the knowledge. - particularly Loren at Renntech, that man is a walking Porsche encyclopedia.. LOL

yes, he is!! he respond faster than the turbos on 997's :D

p0rsch3 wrote:Wow Eli- I can't believe you would openly bag on another hard working business owner without even knowing them. "Import tuner - even worse"? Do you know anything about the owner's history in the car world or the types of cars they've done? This comment just seems very unprofessional. What's a Porsche, an American car?

As for your claim about them not being made right and knowing more than someone else you probably don't even know (and me as well), I will openly make you a friendly $100 cash wager that it was your mistake and possible lack of knowledge that they did not fit. The mounts are the same. The only way they would not fit is if you were doing something WRONG.
You win, I come down and pay you.
I win, you come up and pay me.

Whaddaya think? :D

1) I don't claim to know them or do I speak of them directly so I'm not sure why you make it seem as though I was. I was speaking about their product line and the difficulties we had trying to get them installed.

2) I'll alow for you to keep your $100 although it would be nice for you to buy the guys pizza if you feel right in doing so one Wed Night meet. I've confirmed with GT John earlier in the day that the problem with the set up is that it is not designed to fit in the same design as the factory mufflers. More than that I called Afterhours and consulted with them telling them what problems I was having and I was only told "it should work".

The only thing they should have told me (TECH SUPPORT SPEAKING) that day was "You'll need to re-locate your mounting points on our unit. Instead of mounting in the factory location you'll end up mounting ours -here -instead here...."

As I said, before Pizza is on you if you feel up to it.... as for me, no need to take the $$$ as I was there and know it did not mount in the factory points as designed. I did let John know that the manufacture might be of better service to his customers if he drew up a small diagram to explain the shift in mounting points so others won't have this same issue....

3) as for the tunner site: Tell me, what do you think just by the quick glance here? Don't take it out of content, it's a real question.

Have a nice day!
