Lowered, Aligned & Corner Balanced!!!

Postby Dentron » Wed Mar 12, 2008 5:55 pm

I finally received my wheels and just had a chance to put them on my car. I still have to take it Saturday to get it lowered, corner balanced and aligned, but it has the basic look now.

Thanks to Eli I was able to find Goodyear Eagle F1s, 315 x 35 x 17 (Fat). You can't find these anywhere, but Eli was able to find a pair in Colorado.

Hopefully I will be able to make the next run.

Thanks Richard, I want to get rid of the gap in the rear between the tire and the fender, and I may need to raise the front a bit. I'm not sure until we get started. Nothing rubs. I had to get rid of the original 14mm spacer in the rear and only use a 4mm instead, and I also had to change my studs to 52mm so I could cap the tips. No spacer makes my wheels (rear) rub my caliper. Not good. The front just bolted on. Perfect fit...

 They look FAT....

I remember asking if you wanted for us to hold on to them until you got your wheels but you replied "No, I want to take them home just to look at them".....

Glad to see you got them on the car!!!

Nice,

I liked going into the garage and smelling rubber...

Andre..... They are PHAT.... I can't wait to get the car aligned and balanced and see how well it corners now. It should feel like it's on rails...

Thanks for the help deciding which way to go with this car...

Now I have 9.5" & 11" Polished Lindsey Racing Fuchs.

I hope the pictures are big enough. I hate to use so much bandwidth...

I named Todd's car a "Red Beast". Now, if you don't mind I name yours "Red Rolling Thunder".

You really did a good job with the car. Transformed the Rolling Thunder in just a few months when it took other years.

Hey Peter... I'm just trying to hang with you guys. You guys all have very nice cars. I was just not satisfied until I had taken care of the major things. One of the biggest thing for me was getting the right insurance for my car. I hope I never have to use it, but I do know that I am covered.

You and the rest of the guys really inspired me. When I saw you guys practically pull out a transmission at Chucks house, during a get together, I thought I'd better step it up and take care of some of the mods I want to finish...

Thanks again... Hope to see you at Eli's open house...

Hey CL,

Looking good... :D

Looks great. Agree with lowering the rear; however, the front is perfect...
JMO.

Enjoy

Damn thats a sexy rear wheel!

Ill eventually catch up to you guys... So far i think all i need is wheels but havent decided but i am leaning to a Cup Car looking BBS set of wheels, cant afford them yet but then ill try and save up for a 3.6 liter engine swap, cheaper than buying a 996.

Good point... but probably would have some Zero-Dust brake pads by then and probably buy one of those powerball brush for wheels. Lucky for you, your rims look like the easiest to clean.
