Aren,

Are you nuts? Most shops will warn you and sell you "legal tint". They will usually advise you that the fronts are non-tintable in CA and so they will charge you to remove it and re-install......

Wow! Interesting. Every car I own has tinted windows. All illegal at that; 5%, 15% and 35%. Never been pulled over for it or sited for it. Lucky I guess...

As far as quality, I used a guy out in LA to do the tint on my 99 F150 and the tint still looks as good as the day he installed it. No color degradation, bubbles or peeling of any kind. Tints been on the truck for 8 years.

Currently I've been using a guy locally here in Fontana, Not the best work but offers a lifetime garuantee...

Good luck on your search...

Eli,

From what I understood when researching tints in SoCal was that there are shops that will do what I stated. I never went through with it so I wouldn't know first hand. But I can see it happening around here. There is a lot of competition for these shops since it is not exactly brain surgery to do it. So they come up with creative ways to out do each other.

I've had at least 10 of my cars tinted and I've never been offered the "we'll remove and re-apply the tint if you get a ticket" deal....

Just in my experience, but hey, you never know.....

but that tint may effect your radio or satellite reception...thats what I heard.

but since owning a cab...no tint needed! I never like the look of tint on a convertible.

Yes, Anthoney is the owner and he did my truck for me. There is an other shop in Alhambra Vincellis off of Valley Blvd. and Atlantic next door to McDonald's who has tinted more than 4 cars for me. The shop owner's name is "Eli" yah, just like me... Tell him "Eli" sent you and he'll know who I am..... He charges more but honestly IMO his work is better, lifetime for most cars is around 125-150
