Thanks guys. I appreciate the support with the color change. I kept going back and forth. I had to be careful with the red. I didn't want the red stitch to be too bright. , and I didn't want just plain black. It's tough deciding an interior color change because you don't want to make a mistake. If you do it can be costly.

Now my wife is going to have to bury me in it for sure now.

I think Autos International does a great job... Everything seemed to work out very well. Augustine is great to work with. They made customer floor mats and fixed my boot for my top.

Growing up all the car magazines spoke of how amazing Porsches are. My question is was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.

Thanks guys... I have been planning this and choosing the color or combination was the toughest.

Peter.... I'm still going to try and make it, but I plan to pick my car up on Saturday, and I know the party is Saturday... Depending on what time I arrive back in O.C. I'll definately try to make it...

The car looks great insite and out, if you like to go for an other S. Wheel go for the OE CS one, or keep the one you have, I like the one you have best!

I know what you mean. I keep going back and forth over the steering wheel part. My wife gave me a steering wheel for Christmas, and I'm sure she'll want to see that one in place for a few months.

Your car looks great inside. I'm going to finish cleaning and fine tuning my inside when I get my car back tomorrow...

When you try to make an old car to look modern, 99% of the times you make it look cheap no matter how much $$$ you spend on it!
You have a very nice classic Porsche, you only need to give her a very good cleaning as you say and it will looks best!
IMO keep it as original as you can!
BTW there is no old Porsches, only classic ones!

I appreciate the suggestion, but my goal is not to make my car look modern. If I wanted a "modern one" I could easily purchase one. I was actually thinking about getting a "modern one" for my wife to drive. I personally like the classic models because, to me, they drive like a real sports car rather than push button IMO. I'm making modifications to my car based on what I personally like. I'm by far not a purest. I may rotate steering wheels from time to time. I currently have three. I may change mufflers it depends. I'm changing my wheels. I'm putting Lindsey Racing wheels on my car soon. I've only had my car for five months. So I'm really just having fun with it.

For the sake of originality I probably will not go past bolt on changes and I have kept all of my original parts.

I appreciate your vision. I hear it from purest and others alike from time to time. The changes I'm making are personal and are targeted to reflect what I like only.

Something that is considered to look cheap is subjective.
