Nevada Open Road Challenge Photos

Postby jorj7 » Tue May 20, 2008 10:35 pm

Here are some photos from the NORC Open Road Race held this
weekend on highway 318 near Ely Nevada. I rode in my friends
88 928S4 as the navigator in the 140 mph class. My car should
be ready for the next ORR, the Bonneville 100, on June 21th.

This would be awesome to do but the only thing I am scared of is what the paint on my front bumper would look like after I am through with the event. High speed runs through the desert just don't sound too good to me.

The next event is the Bonneville 100 in June on highway 93A near
Wendover, Nv. This is the furthest event, but I think it's worth the
trip. It's right next to the Bonneville Salt Flats, and has some long
straights as well as some turns and elevation changes. Then
there's the Pony Express in August and the Silverstate Classic in
September.

If you look at the photos you'll see some evidence of fire damage to the rear... Look at the rear quarter, wheels, rear valance etc.
