Good Idea, and maybe the mesh will act in a small part as a heat sink on those hotter than usual days.

Not really, i dont have the net and my air filter stops everything. The metal net i would think is only to block a lit cigerette from catching the filter on fire

FYI, this mod isnt only for 2000 in earlier boxsters, its for 2004 and earlier
