I am in need of the rubber gasket that fits the chrome edition hood crest badge
Part NO# 993.559.211.00 SILVER
The badge is a little larger than the standard badge, I've found the standard rubber gasket is to small and I am in need of one.

I know this request is for a small item but your attention to my request is appreciated.

David

Hi David,

Porsche makes only one size for that particular part number (by the way it's the same part number for the gold). The gasket you have just needs to be soaked down in warm water so you can work with it's form. During Summer months you can also lay it out in the sun for an hour or so depending on the temp so you can form it. Although the install is a little tricky be careful, I've seen some of these gaskets rip when not heated properly. One last thing, don't tighten the pins down too hard was they can break the pins from the rear of the crest.

I hope that helps,

I think you were warmed just by standing too close to Irving..... :?

Maybe we can have an other install day.... ;)
