Radio Code..

Postby cameronc08 » Tue Apr 11, 2006 1:01 pm

Not that anyone cares at this point, and other than blacknight this board doesnt seem to really be jumping.., but I finally got the boxster back on the road. Now I need the radio code, the local dealership wants 100 dollars (they say it takes an hours work, and they have to remove the radio unit to plug to a machine, which I know is a lie). Just curious if anyone here has or knows someone with the proper tool or computer program to get the code via the VIN or Serial Number. Does anyone know a dealership I can call to do this over the phone, free of charge, rather than drive over an hour and be charged an arm and leg. Thanks..

Go on ebay and purchase the radio removal tools, they should sell you two star looking tools. You can have your radio out in 10 seconds. I seen the stereo shop who installed my nav remove my radio within seconds. You then can find the serial number on the right side you need.
