well, marque and history have a lot to do with the price. which model of bimmer are you comparing that is 10k less than a Boxster? I love BMW and a M one to be particular. It performs well for its price comparing to a 911 but it is not in the same class. Boxster is great and its handling is superior. It is a convertible so it might justify the 10k more price. Lexus is a luxury car in my book and may offer better safety stuff. my 2 cents.
